Friday
Bobaloo and I both were able to leave work early on Friday so we headed to the tavern and met up with some friends to kick off the long weekend. This evening also turned into a reminder of why I don't drink whiskey.
Saturday
I spent Saturday morning cleaning and finishing up the second bedroom project while Bobaloo volunteered at Red Rocks. Later, we had some friends over in the afternoon for some beer, tunes, grilling, bubbles, and general tomfoolery. Our neighbor got chickens last week and he invited me over to feed them. So cute! It ended up being a pretty late night.

Sunday
See Saturday's description. More of the same. A lot of goofiness. Plus I watched one of my fave flicks:
"I just like to smile, smilin's my favorite" |
Monday
We checked out the annual duck races in Morrison.
All in all, a good weekend was had. And I killed some brain cells.
My husband likes single malt scotch. It tastes like something you'd clean a cut with, IMO.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever tried scotch, but from your description it doesn't sound too appealing. I've tried drinking gin too but it tastes like nail polish remover (or at least what I imagine remover would taste like).
DeleteJealous of the neighbor's chickens! We are vegan except that we eat eggs from known chickens, so a neighbor with some extras would be ideal.
ReplyDeleteAnd the duck races?? That is a Memorial Day tradition I have not yet seen.
The chickens are pretty darn neat, for sure! It's nice to hear them clucking away...
DeleteThe duck races involve throwing a bunch of rubber ducks in a creek to see who races down the fastest. The grown-ups get pretty into it!
It's appropriate time to make a few plans for the future and it is time to be happy. I have read this submit and if I could I desire to counsel you some fascinating issues or advice. Maybe you could write subsequent articles referring to this article. I wish to read even more issues approximately it!
ReplyDeleteHere is my web blog Sidney Crosby Black Jersey
My sister lives in Brighton. She was married at Red Rocks. Beautiful area.
ReplyDeleteThat's cool! Every time we move we seem to get closer to Red Rocks, it's Bobaloo's mecca.
DeleteSounds like a lovely weekend, except for the whiskey...yuk! I would love to have a place big enough for chickens, must be cool to get your own eggs. :)
